The Dork Blueprint · Build the Damn Thing Worksheets
The Porch.
Stop blending in. Start standing out. The mindset audit that opens your eyes before we build the whole house.
Before you start - read this
This worksheet is not telling you to go rewrite your whole brand, pick new colors, or change your entire business structure. We will do all of that together in Build the Damn Thing.
The Porch exists to open your eyes as the founder and owner. To bring awareness. To make you wonder - if I changed these things, how would I feel about my brand? To show you that you have the potential to make the wave instead of ride it.
Dorks are leaders. We pave the way. We make the trends. We stand out. This free training is here to show you how to control the market, not just be a part of it. This is a mindset shift. That is all. Let's go.
The Porch is just the beginning
The Porch is one section of The Dork Blueprint - a full framework for building a structurally sound business with a foundation, four walls, and a roof. If this training gives you value, the next step is building the whole house. Visit dorksocialclub.com to learn about DIY or Die and Build the Damn Thing.

Step 1
The Explain Test
Forget your website. Forget your elevator pitch. Pretend you're at dinner with your best friend. How would you describe your business right now, in your own words?
Remember this
We get stuck in the "industry standard" mentality and you should NEVER live in that standard. Standard is someone else's ceiling. Dorks don't live standard lives. We live on the outside and we pave the paths.

Step 2
The Zig Zag Audit
Find 4 people in your industry. Look at their bio, content, colors, and tone. Now look at yours honestly.
"
When everyone in your industry is zigging, you need to ZAG. If you see a trend, run the other way. Because if you follow it, you become a lesser, cheaper version of the person who paved the way.

Step 3
Stand For Something
When you fit in, people forget you. When you stand for something, people remember you forever. The businesses that stand out don't just look different. They BELIEVE different. They have a point of view, a stance, a hill they are willing to die on. That is what makes people stop scrolling and choose YOU.
Why this matters
Standing out is not about being louder. It is not about better graphics or more posts. It is about having something to say that only YOU can say. Your belief is your brand. Your stance is your strategy. When you stand for something real, the right people find you and they never forget you.

Step 4
Paint Your Porch
If you could paint the front of your house any color you wanted and nobody judged you and there was no HOA telling you what was acceptable - what would you do? That is your brand waiting to come out.
The whole point of this step
This is about finding who YOU actually are - the person leading this brand - and holding your brand accountable to be its OWN brand. Not the washed up secondary version of someone bigger. Not the safe version of yourself. The real one. And remember - we are NOT rebranding today. We are becoming aware.

Step 5
The Left Turn Decision
You already know which direction you should go. You've probably always known. Now it's time to commit to it - even if just one small thing today.
Do it today
Not tomorrow. Not when it feels perfect. Today. The porch only works if you actually build it. Make one change right now before you close this worksheet. Awareness without action is just a feeling.
What you're walking away with
Your Brand Statement
Using everything you just uncovered - write one paragraph that describes exactly who you are, what you do, who you serve, and what makes you different. In your voice. No polish. No corporate speak. This is your north star. Put it on your desk. Read it before you post.
The porch is just the beginning
You can't have a porch without a home.
You just built your porch. But a porch without a house behind it is just a step. The foundation, four walls, and roof are what make your business structurally sound, consistently profitable, and impossible to ignore. That is what we build together in the full Dork Blueprint.
